Yeah, Hamburglers came to mind when I saw this. It occurs to me that there's a distinct chance that the artist has a kid's kid on some game company art staff.
Another game using the PS2 engine but done in a more... steampunk style... might have appeal.

Interesting how, even with a couple world wars, our vision of the future is no different then people 100 years ago.
